Just tried it out, and it works just fine! If you plan on using N64 controllers to play gamecube games (such as Smash Bros.), then I don't think you should map the C-buttons to the right analogue stick. I don't know, I only played a few games with it, and will tinker with it more. I don't think I'll be playing many non-N64 games with it.

I purchased a USB N64 controller, but the stick was extremely stiff and clicked hard when I moved it to the right, so I bought this to replace it. When I plugged it in, it showed up as 2 USB Control Pads, a quick edit to the registry entry for it and it worked almost instantly with Retroarch, only had to remap two buttons! Finally, i'm installing photoshop for mac. After calibrating it through the joystick properties in Windows 10, the analog stick works flawlessly.
